Interview with AlmostLovers FaithAdeline: How did you find out about dA?Interview with AlmostLovers
AlmostLovers: Well I found out about dA through some friends of mine who had already joined, and one day they mentioned it to me and when I looked completely lost they gave me the website and told me to check it out.
FA: What convinced you to join?
AL: The first thing I noticed when I went on dA for the first time was just the amount of incredible work on it. I saw a bunch of beautiful pictures and writing that just took my breath away, so I joined just so I'd have the opportunity to admire all the work on it. Later on, I s

| Overlords! I'm also currently helping out as an overlord, and I'm taking applications for staff. Just note me if you're interested in becoming part of the team. Chatroom/Workshop Admins! ~indie-isnt-indie ^_^ Contest and Challenge admins! I became a member because, let's face it, it's a great cause and all people need is inspiration and support, and that's what we're all here to to do. More specifically I'll be the mastermind behind the challenges and contests, and I hope you all decide to and enjoy participating in them. I'll also be lending help with our prosetry section where possible. If you'd like to contact me, I am at ~blue-pixies. Feature Admins! Schedule Admin Critics! More to come! |
| Who are we? *project-improve was founded on the 7th of September this year, and we are a group dedicated to helping new artists to improve. We are not here to give artists publicity; instead we focus on helping to improve techniques and skills. What do we do? We support, help, and encourage you! Every other Friday, we will be publishing a news article which will include features, interviews and any upcoming news, contests, challenges, writing workshops, and lessons. We also offer free critiques to our members! To join, please see this journal. To receive a critique, all you have to do is note us with the subject 'critique' and the genre the deviation is in. Ex. - critique-prose, for the subject line of the note. Anyone can participate in these critiques, not just subscribers. For those without subscriptions, critiques will just be left in comments. Workshops? umm.. what? You know the English lessons you wish you had? That's what they'll be like. We're not only going to have guest 'teachers' holding workshops on their style of writing, things that inspire them, writing challenges etc. We will also hold chats about basic grammar functions, what's right and wrong in poetry and prose, and what's just artistic license. These will be held in our chatroom or forum on most weekends. Just literature? At the moment, we are only focusing on improving dA literature, as our personal experiences are predominantly in literature. Although, with time we hope to see *project-improve expand, and as volunteer staff and helper numbers grow, we may be able to offer workshops, contests, critiques, and interviews with other styles of art. Support us? We are new and would greatly appreciate any help and support that you are willing to provide. This includes simple things like: linking to us, telling your friends/watchers, watching us, or becoming a member. Questions? If you have any questions or queries, feel free to note either Kay, at =GwenavhyeurAnastasia, or Emily, at *losingmyfaith; also feel free to ask any of our other admins, who can be found in this journal. More information will be available soon, including where the idea came from, who’s involved, and what we’re doing, etc. Take care, The *project-improve team. |
